Naneghat Is The Best Place To Visit In Monsoon.

Naneghat trek route attracts so many peoples from mumbai as it is really near to mumbai and really beautiful to do a trek in monsoon.

About The Name "Naneghat":-
Naneghat is a road between the ahamadnagar district and thane district which connects both in the fastest way. on the top of the naneghat you will see a huge pot which is made of stone in the century of shivaji maharaj. in the 17th century this ghat was a toll stop for the people who wants to go from thane to ahamadnagar or vice versa.that toll was used to maintain the whole road between the ghat and to pass the ghat you will need to pay the fees in the form of coins in older times.and coins means nane in marathi language and that's the reason why iti s called as naneghat as you need to pay coins to pass the ghat.

About Naneghat Trek :

it is a medium level trek but the peoples who just started doing treks can also do this trek as it is not risky but it is a little bit lengthy .
Time Required: it takes about 3 hours to reach the top of the hill if you will really go slowly and with your friends who are really new to trekking. 3 hours trek will start from the base
where the bus drops you.
Restaurants: Their are nothing on the top of that hill where you can buy something to eat so while doing the trek, make sure to take everything with you because their is nothing to buy on the top.in monsoon,if you will not take water it will be fine because their are small waterfalls on the way to top where you can fill your bottles and drink that water as it is direct rain water from the top of the hill but make sure to take a lot of water if you are going in the summer season as the trek is very long and will make you exhaust.

Accommodation/ Staying Options:their is a cave on the top where you can stay for whole night without getting any problem but that cave can possibly adjust 23-30 people in it at a time so from my opinion you should do this as a one day trek because camping above the hill can be risky because of the constant wind.
How To Reach Their:-
Their is a problem to reach the naneghat base fro mwhere the trek starts, don't woory we have two solutions for it.
THE PROBLEM IS THAT THE PLACE WHERE THE TREK STARTS IS NOT AN OFFICIAL BUS STOP. So to stop at the naneghat you will need to ask the bus driver before hopping into the bus that if he will stop the bus in the naneghat or not,if he says "yes" then you are good to go but if he says"No" you can request him once to stop over their and most of the time they will accept the request and will stop for you over their.or else, the second option is you can stop at the station :"tokawade" which lies before the naneghat which is about 4-5 km away from the base of trek and you can walk over there.plus you will need to buy a ticket for moroshi as it is the next bus stop after tokawade and the naneghat is not an official bus stop.
the price of the bus from the kalyan station to the moroshi bus stop is 90 Rs per person.
