The Nasik Caves, or sometimes Pandavleni Caves (or Pandu Lena, Pandu Caves or Trirashmi Leni, Trirashmi being the name of the hills in which the caves are located, Leni is a Marathi word for caves), are a group of 24 caves carved between the 1st century BC and the 3rd century CE, though additional sculptures were added up to about the 6th century, reflecting changes in Buddhist devotional practices mainly. Other caves in the area are Karla Caves, Bhaja Caves, Patan Cave, and Bedse Caves.
how to reach: Pandav Leni caves are located at the Nashik-kasara highway. it is known as Nashik caves so that it will be easy to locate. one can reach there by bus or any private vehicle. the easiest way to go there is to take a bus from Mumbai, Kalyan, kasara, etc. from kasara it'll cost 100rs per person. from beside kasara Kalyan to Pandav Leni caves Nashik will charge up to 150-200 rs per head. if you are from thane or Mumbai its the best way to get going. besides that, anyone can reach Nashik by train. Nashik is the nearest railway station from Pandav Leni. Nashik city is quite famous in Maharashtra for many of the destinations which include Pandav Leni caves. so if you are going via Nashik, there will be an option available by train too. train traveling will be cheaper and safer than road travel. the travel time to reach there depends upon the distance which is as follows for the prime cities from Nashik. Shirdi to Pandav Leni 92kms, Mumbai to Pandav Leni 159kms, Pune to Pandav Leni 215kms. from the above information the maximum time to reach will be no more than 3 hours.
time to visit: Pandav Leni caves is a historical and trek type place. so the best time to visit will be in the morning. if you start climbing the caves which are 200 stairs above from groud in the morning it can take an hour to go up. talking about seasons, you can go in any season, no worries about that. monsoon is the season of tracking so you can plan your trek in monsoon also. but I've visited it on summer vacations and it was a wonderful experience.

facilities for food and stay: there are few hotels for the facility of food at the waterpark. and during the staircase, there are different snacks n lemonade stalls available. the food at the canteen in the park is quite good in taste, but I suggest to carry the food for you n your family or friends. there are available dining tables for lunch so no problem if you carry your own food. there are fewer facilities available for stay. since the place is historical so this problem has to have occurred. but in upcoming years they are working on it.
the beauty of the destination: since I have visited the Pandav Leni caves in summer so I have enjoyed my quality time with my family. their service is so good that you can't wait for your next trip to Pandav Leni again. besides the service, at the park, the natural beauty of the caves and the sceneries will blow your mind.
budget: talking about the main point in the blog is the budget, that will be cheaper and affordable too. from Mumbai side traveling to Pandav Leni you have to pay just 200 per person, then entry fee through the main gate which is tourism charge will cost 50-100rs, then by walking through the staircase you will be charged 50rs per person at the top to enter the caves area, then after that going to the park it'll cost up to 90-100 rs per adult person and children charge will be 50-70rs. then afterward everything is cost-free. if you are having your own lunch then it's good. so the overall budget for this trip will be 500-700 per person and I think its quite a good thing to travel.
